A sudden loss of energy can be caused by certain illnesses, but it can also be related to your daily diet. Sleep and Rest
Are you sleeping enough? Surprisingly many people think they are getting enough sleep when they are not. Most people need around 7 or 8 hours sleep at night. Even if you go to bed early enough, it is possible that your sleep is light and interrupted. There are many ways to improve your sleep: make sure the bedroom is not too hot, use dark curtains to keep light outside and try using earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. Avoid drinking coffee or caffeinated soft drinks late in the evening and try a cup of chamomile herbal tea instead.
Diet and Vitamins
Feeling tired may be related to how you eat. Try to eat a healthy and balanced diet that contains a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds. Avoid ready meals and junk food even if they are tempting. It may also be a good idea to take vitamin supplements for a while. Although it is always better to get all your nutrients from the food you eat, extra vitamins can help with tiredness and lack of energy. Vitamins work best when they are taken together, so a multi-vitamin supplement is a good idea if you have experienced a sudden loss of energy.
